4.FISH & SEA FOOD

  • People who ate diets high in fish and seafood had less skin wrinkling. That is because of omega-3 fatty acids found in fish and seafood slow down the wrinkling process. Wrinkle development is rooted in inflammation of your skin. Omega-3s turn down this.
  • Omega-3s can also help combat acne in a similar way.
  • Furthermore, omega-3 fatty acids have mood-regulating benefits, which can help with the stress component of having acne.If you can’t imagine eating that much fish every week, take fish oil supplements instead.
  • The two major types of essential fats found in fishes are DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid). In several researches, EPA component of fishes plays a major role in skin care.
  • Omega-3 is recommended for the prevention of common pimples. EPA also has antioxidant qualities. Antioxidants are known to be the most age-defying substance and rightfully so.
  • EPA in fish helps in inhibiting the production of androgens–hormones that produces sebum in hair follicles. Excess production of these sebum results to oily skin, leading to acne and other skin problems.
  • EPA also limits the production of Arachidonic acid. High levels of these are found in people with Psoriasis–an inflammatory skin disease.

5. GREEN FOODS

  • Green Foods are young cereal grasses like barley grass and wheat grass. Nutritionally, they are close  to dark green leafy vegetables, but offer greater levels of nutrient density.
  • An ounce of concentrated green foods contains more of the beneficial phytonutrients.
  • Green foods detoxify the body to keep skin clear and radiant. Detoxification is very important process for our body function & helps in removing harmful toxins out of your body & cleans your body.
  • Studies show that green foods have marked beneficial effects on cholesterol, blood pressure, immune response, and cancer prevention. These effects are attributed in part to their high concentrations of chlorophyll.
  • Chlorophyll, the phyto-chemical that gives leaves, plants, and algae their green hues, is the plant equivalent of the oxygen-carrying red pigment hemoglobin in red blood cells. Dietary chlorophyll inhibits disease bacteria and exerts therapeutic effects on skin.
